I don't know if the staff works for all the doctors or not but, the ones for dr Gunter are very rude and un professional. The first time I called I explained my insurance was veterans choice and they had to call them to verify it. The woman said they don't do that. She said she looked in some sort of veterans data base that doesn't exist and didn't see me there? I called veterans choice and they said they have to call them... At my first appointment I was told they still didn't have my insurance and aren't allowed to call for it, I called veterans choice and they said that makes no sense. I was given a surgery date four days later and had to reschedule so I called over and over and either got the voice mail from the hospital which called back and said they had nothing to do with them or was told they would leave a msg with the scheduler. I called every day for almost two weeks and never got a call back.the last time I called I spoke to the person that makes appointments and told her I was tired of calling and leaving messages and she got rude with me and asked if I wanted to speak with the scheduler or not, I said yes. Even though I was told my messages were put in a computer by the receptionist but the scheduler said she didn't recieve any. She then said she spoke to me three days before the scheduled surgery and I verified that I was coming in even though I left message after message trying to reschedule days before with no response and called for days after to try and reshedule. In short they are almost impossible to get in contact with and either the receptionist don't take messages or they just don't take the time to call you back, or your voice mail go to the hospital wich makes no sense because they have nothing to do with their office. And believe it or not this is the short version of how lost and unprofessional the staff is.
Easy to make an appointment, short waiting time to be called back to see the doctor, and friendly staff. However, I only rated it a two because the doctor who was performing my test did not listen when I told him I was having symptoms in other areas he still only focused on one area to perform the test on. I can't stand it when doctors are rushed and don't listen to you.
Have seen Dr Toussaint on two separate occasions about two years apart. Pleased both times bc instead of going the surgery route (which is what I thought he'd recommend) he suggested other options first! I felt he truly put my best interest first!
Dr trousaint is the best and his staff is really good as well , never a long wait ,he fixed my back another neursurgeon screwed up
