Personally encountered no issues with rude staff. I wouldn't let these other comments put you off from stopping by and seeing what they have.
Great location. It's nice not to have to go all the way into Lexington or to the West Columbia Lowe's to go to the big box stores when I need something quickly. I have always encountered helpful staff. Sometimes the selection isn't the greatest, but they have always been knowledgeable and helpful when I go in. The "satellite" post office is very helpful as well. I have utilized their services several times to mail packages without having to go to the actual post office. One thing about the store though, it is always HOT in there. Whether summer or winter (what little bit of winter we get here), it is always sweltering HOT in there. I have no idea how the staff tolerate it, as I get uncomfortable in there just in the short time I am in there as a customer.

Just stopped by this Ace for the first time. I had no idea the amount of tools, fixtures, piping, etc they had in that little store. I could have saved myself dozens of trips to the chaos of Lowes had I checked this place out sooner.
New people more friendly faces. Awesome customer service. If we don't have it we will get it, if we can. We are not perfect but if you have any problems ask for me. Chris, I'm the manager.
Update to my earlier review: the last several times I've been in there the selection has been great, and it's not hot in there anymore. I do know they recently changed either ownership or management. I dint know if that has anything to do with it or not, but it was much more comfortable in there.
Employ nice people who appreciate having a job. Even if the store isnt the greatest ( its not) , my opinion, would help. They do ask if they can help but you can truly tell its because they have to.
Bought chainsaw and manual did not come with it. The guy that helped us was friendly and nice . The guy that checked us out at the regester was not friendly his name was Robbie. Need more friendly cashiers.
