We have a family membership of Riverbanks zoo. Because of all the well designed and maintained play grounds and toys... my son had more fun here than the zoo
Amazing zoo with gardens and splash park for the kids. Great way to cool off on a hot summer day! We were visiting family and took kids ranging in age from 18 months to 10 years old, and everyone had a lot of fun. If the gardens/splash park are your primary objective, be prepared for a hike to get there - from the main entrance, you have to walk through a large portion of the zoo to reach the trolley that takes you to that section. For adults it's not bad, but for excited and energetic kids, it's tough staying focused - they wanted to run off and explore all of the other parts of the zoo that we had to walk through. Overall, it is one of the best zoos we've visited.
Everything was beautiful. We had the best time with our kids and friends. We came from myrtle so we got a hotel room and still could have used an entire second day to enjoy it all.
Always fun at the zoo! We're members and go pretty often. Lots of great additions in the last 5 years.
I came here last October for a wedding/reception. Of all the weddings I've been to, this was hands down the most beautiful venue I've ever been to. If you're local and looking for a place to the the knot, I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
